Good Things Come to Those Who Wait

We moved 2.5 weeks ago and already it feels like an eternity. The first renovations have begun. The cabinet in the living room has been removed and the first of the floors being replaced have been pulled out with new ones partially installed. What type of wood you ask? White oak for its sustainability :). Yet all this leaves me dragging my feet to put things away. When I see the mess of the floors out front, it makes me lack motivation. There are still boxes strewn upon the floors and random objects scattered about. 2 more weeks until the floors are done and then the painting begins. Sigh. Color selections leave me in a constant state of uncertainty as I peruse instagram account after instagram account from Benjamin Moore to Veranda to Becki Owens(the 2 million + followed interior designer). Decisions, decisions! Will it ever get done?! However, delaying gratification always puts things in perspective once you reach your final destination. I am sure several months from now, I will look back and realize that good things do come to those who wait. Until then it’s probably best I focus on continuing the tedious task of unpacking.
